We had pre-cut circles for the students who had some difficultly, they all used a ruler and created their layout. Then they chose 2 colors to work with (a lesson on color theory as well). This lesson kept students focused while practicing some of their math skills.

3D Stuffed Turkey Thanksgiving Art Lesson

3D Stuffed Turkey Thanksgiving Art Lesson

Students create their turkey drawing, they copy it and make a mirror image of it.
(I let the students trace on top of the first one and reverse it)
Then we color them in, "stuff" them with newspapers and hang them up in the classroom.
The students love this lesson and you can do it with anything, I have a lesson with tropical fish and "stuffing" them.
